Project Progress #1

OH HEY I should probably start thinking about my big tech project!

I've decided that for my digital creative project, I am going to create an interactive eBook.

Idea Inspiration

When I did my primary school prac, I loved reading classic children's story books in the classroom and connecting it with a musical application.

E.G. For kindergarten I would read the book We're Going on a Bear Hunt and the students would associate instruments to each location they stumble across on the way (grass, river, mud, forest, snowstorm, cave) for students to play when the book characters "go through it".

So I thought, why don't I create an interactive eBook that already has music applications?

This book will be for the primary school music classroom, drawing musical connections that will act as a unit of work (3-6 lessons).

What better iconic book to do than... Where The Wild Things Are !!!!!!!!!!!! One of the best books ever, amiright?!

Brainstormed ideas

• Each page has interactive buttons that make sound (E.G. sound of Max running down the stairs - matching the picture and story)

• One or two songs throughout for students to learn by singing and playing on the xylophones

• Some other creative, musical activities along the way
