You're probably expecting more interactive sounds for my Where The Wild Things Are eBook but, uhhhh...
CHANGE OF PLANS
As fun as creating an interactive eBook for the music classroom would be, I just have this intense hunch to change my project to mixing a new song I've been working on. :O
Thinking about it more, the weeks of #TiME I have relished in enjoyment has been class #2 on recording, class #5 on filming and class #6 on video editing. It's these skills that I have been developing most and exploring in depth - check out my 'random stuff' blogs to see how I spend my spare time exploring this stuff - GarageBand, SoundTrap, PremierePro, and so on!!! So I think that because of how much I love these type of music tech things, I'd be kicking myself not to do my big project on something that incorporates these skills. How fun would that be!
Also, with all this quarantine time I've been getting into songwriting??? So random, yet so cool. I never though I'd be cool enough to say that I song write but hey, here I am haha. I would love to cultivate that skill and passion, and so WE ARE GONNA MAKE MY BIG PROJECT EXACTLY THAT:
Breathin' An original song written, performed, recorded and mixed by Emily Turner.
I went through a really tough break-up at the start of semester and I found myself writing letters to myself, my friends, and of course my ex eeeek. Obviously these letters were for my own eyes. I wrote them as a form of emotional clarity and expression. One afternoon however I found myself with my guitar and I started writing a song. The emotions just fell out of me into lyrics and melodies, forming the song Breathin'. I love how raw and real the song is. #CallMeTaylorSwift
I've sought and been granted permission from James to change projects to this, so stay tuned for another Project Progress blog to see where this all goes!!! So keen :)
