Project Progress #4

What the song sounds like

The original recordings of me experimenting with my guitar and voice in the very beginnings of my songs creation have sadly been lost :( I got a new phone and didn't back up my iCloud lol so all those recordings are gone! HOWEVER - I did experiment with SoundTrap a little bit later. This is what I did:

The vibe

Initially: When I first started writing this song, just me and my guitar, it was a super chill and acoustic vibe.

A little later: I decided it could make a really great upbeat pop vibe - hence the crazy SoundTrap loop explorations in this excerpt HAHA! I kinda lowkey hate it, if I am going to be honest!

Now: So I've done a full 180 and we are going back to the chills vibez.

Lyrics

The lyrics I have written so far are:

VERSE 1

Another call, unanswered.

Another red flag ignored.

That's all I've got so far. So I still need to write a bridge, and then I'm there!

I would also like to give the chorus lyrics some more flesh haha it be a bit repetitive.

Melody

I am really happy with the lyrics but BOY I actually don't love the melody. I like the prechorus and chorus tune, but the verse is yuckkyyyyy!!! I need to change this ASAP.

Chords / accompaniment

Okay BIG TIME this is completely changing. But the chorus is a bop.

But for point of reference, the chord progression currently is:

VERSE: G - C - Am - D

PRE-CHORUS: Am7 - C - G - D

CHORUS: Am7 - C - Em - D
